（中央社記者葉素萍台北18日電）社會民主黨召集人范雲今天宣布請辭，她說，2016年立委選舉是社會民主黨初試啼聲第一戰，但沒有贏得任何席次，基於責任政治，身為召集人理應為敗選下台負責。
范雲也是這次台北市大安區的立委候選人，她說，要向所有支持社會民主黨以及大安區的支持者致歉，因為個人的努力不足，未能得到更多選民的認同。
不過，范雲也說，作為一個小黨，在財力、人脈與資源皆不足的艱困環境中，競選團隊打了一場漂亮的選戰。這次她以5萬6766票，輸給對手的7萬4015票，打下了非國民黨籍區域立委選戰史上最好的成績。
范雲說，給予對手蔣乃辛最高的祝福，恭賀他再次贏得選舉，也希望他未來4年不負選民所託。
范雲強調，社會民主黨要走的路還很長，其他5區域立委候選人儘管未能當選，卻都已成為突破藍綠的重要挑戰者。未來將會繼續協助社會民主黨，也會持續在地方扎根，發展組織。更希望支持社會民主理念的朋友，成為黨員，或是小額捐款，支持年輕世代的政治工作者。1050118
